Summer 2018 has been a busy time at Evora Construction, work has progressed well at Bankfield Road, Huddersfield a scheme to refurbish a rundown student accommodation building close the University of Huddersfield.
All 42 bedrooms have been fully refurbished to a high standard. The bedrooms are divided into eight cluster flats which share dining kitchens with communal spaces and shared bathroom facilities.
A further floor was added to the building to create a further eleven bedrooms across two cluster flats. This was a complex scheme carried out on a live residential street, special measures had to be put in place to avoid noise and disturbance to the surrounding properties.
Meanwhile at Monks Cross, York the team has completed a Cat A & B office refurbishment at Arabesque House for occupation by Drive Speed Group. The new fit-out gives greater office layout flexibility to the end user which is very important in today’s ever changing work patterns.
The Summer continues with five school projects nearing completion across Yorkshire and a good level of tender enquiries for Autumn and into the Winter months.
