Evora Construction were invited to attend the opening and dedication of the “Opening New Doors Development” at Haxby and Wiggington Methodist Church on the 3rd March 2018.
The Church set about fundraising over three years ago to finance much needed building works to improve the facilities and make long overdue repairs. Their main objectives for the development works were to improve accessibility, enhance the hospitality provision and welcome of the building, embrace green technologies to improve the energy conservation and the environment and enhance provision.
York based Evora Construction were appointed to carry out the building works in July 2017, the works comprised of the demolition of the existing entrance lobby and reconstruction of a new larger entrance.
Followed by extensions to side entrance and alterations to the internal floor layouts with the addition of a new first floor, modification of existing trussed rafters and installation of PV Photovoltaics to the roof.

York based, DC- Architecture have worked with the Church to understand their aims and objectives and have played a major part in making this project a reality together with Evora Construction.
