The city of York is seeing an increased demand for apartment living due to the excellent cultural offer, plentiful choice of bars and restaurants and good transport connectivity. The city has been helped by being voted the overall best place to live in the UK by The Sunday Times in 2018.
We are delighted to have secured four residential schemes in the city to help meet this demand from buyers seeking properties in York.
The schemes include a new build four story apartment development providing fourteen apartments at 33 Bootham Row comprising of six studio apartments, seven one bedroomed apartments and a two bedroomed duplex apartment.
A further new build scheme at Hallfield Road will see the construction of a three-story residential development aimed at the first time buyer market with attainable price points. This will provide nine one bedroomed apartments and five two bedroomed apartments within walking distance of the city centre.
We will also be undertaking a full refurbishment of 14 Clifford Street, an ornate Victorian building originally built as two properties. The building will be brought back to life to provide three new commercial units to the ground floor and ten new one and two bedroomed apartments to the upper floors.
And finally, we will be converting the remaining office building at Aviator Court, Clifton Moor to provide thirteen new one and two bedroomed apartments.
The new apartments will be ready for occupation later next year.
